1) Man’s free will and the absence of destiny:

a) History:

i) Founder, Susan (Christianity -Islam-Christianity) Iraq à His student,  Mabad  ibn Khalid al Juhani, Basra à Ghailan ibn Muslim.

ii) Al Ja’d ibn Dihram à Marwan ibn Muhammadà Jahm ibn Safwan.

iii) Most of them were later executed by Islamic rulers of their times.

iv) They were from 685 to 743 CE,

b) Abullah ibn umar and Abdullah ibn abi awfa (sahaba) advised not to greet who denied destiny nor perform funeral prayers for them. They considered them disbelievers

c) Due to more corrupt later generations of Umayyad caliphs and less Islamically educated masses deviant ideas spread and no more executions of apostates. .

d) Islamic scholars opposed the alien philosophies by categorizing them and countering them with principles deduced from Quran and sunnah, as similar to all other areas of Islamic knowledge.

e) Categories of  Tawheed are studied separately and in more depth, however all are parts of an organic whole which is itself the foundation of a greater whole, Islam itself.

2) Tawheed Ar Rububiyah (Maintaining the unity of lordship):

a) Definition:

i) Allah swt alone created everything out of nothing.

ii) He sustains without any need from it or for it.

iii) He is sole lord of whole universe without any real challenge to his sovereignty.

iv) Rabb (root word) à Rububitah (creator, sustainer)

v) Allah swt is only real power in existence, thus he gives power to everything to move and to change. (There is power and no movement except by Allah’s will)

vi) Good fortune and misfortunes are events predestined by Allah for our test in this life.

b) Proves from Quran and Sunnah:

i) “Allah created all things and he is the agent on which all things depends.” Quran 39:62

ii) “And Allah created you all and whatever you do” Quran 37:96

iii) “And o calamity strikes except by Allah’s permission” Quran 64:11

iv) “Be aware that if the whole of mankind gather together in order to do something to help you, they would only be able to do something for you which Allah had already written for you. Likewise, if the whole of mankind gather together to harm you, they would only be able to do something to harm you which allah had already written to happen to you” Tirmidhi.

c) Using of charms, omens and amulets violets the believe in Tawheed Ar Rububiyah. (Prophet Muhammad saw said “whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk” Ahmad)

And Allah knows the best. All good is from Allah the most High and all mistakes are from shaytaan and myself.
